Manon Steffan Ros wins A Carnegie Medal
The Blue Book of Nebo, written and translated from the original Welsh by Manon Steffan Ros (published by Firefly Press), has won the prestigious Carnegie Medal for Writing.
The winners of the UK’s longest-running and best-loved book awards for children and young people, the Yoto Carnegies, were announced today in a live-streamed ceremony at The Barbican. For the first time in the awards almost 90-year history, the Yoto Carnegie Medal for Writing is awarded to a book in translation – The Blue Book of Nebo (Firefly Press), written and translated by Manon Steffan Ros.
